Sandhya Singh murder case: Raghuveer wants cop arrested for mother's murder
Cops claim Sandhya Singh's son, under arrest for the past 19 days, is not cooperating in the investigations and is now claiming that two policemen are to be blamed for his mother's killing
With no concrete evidence to nail the murderer of Sandhya Singh, fingers are being pointed in every direction. Raghuveer Singh, who has been arrested for killing his mother, Sandhya Singh, has accused Assistant Police Inspector Anil Behrani, for themurder.
Just before Raghuveer Singh was arrested for his mother’s murder his relatives and lawyer allegedly told Singh that the Crime Branch was protecting Behrani, who they believe is the murderer.
No concrete evidence
Singh has now claimed that the officials are, instead, putting false allegations on him. It has been 19 days since Singh has been arrested as the prime suspect in the case, but the Crime Branch officials still do not have any concrete evidence to prove him guilty.
According to sources, Singh has not confessed to the crime. He was sent to jail last Sunday after being remanded for 14 days in police custody. The Crime Branch even plans to oppose any bail application in the future. “When we questioned Singh for lying, he said it was a mistake. When we asked him the reason for applying for anticipatory bail even in spite of alleging that he is innocent, he said he did so on his father and advocate’s advice,” said a senior crime branch officials.
After Singh denied all the accusations, he alleged that Anil Behrani and the Singh family’s neighbour, Uma Gaur, were responsible for his mother’s murder, according to CB officials.
A senior crime branch officer said, “Since the arrest, Singh hasbeen accusing Behrani and Gaur of the crime. Senior police inspector Shripath Kale, Unit 6, said, “Why would we defend an accused, whether it is Raghuveer or Behrani in such a big murder mystery. We have been investigating the case since a year now. Every angle points towards him and that’s the reason why Raghuveer has been arrested.”
