Says the 15-year-old maid who was gang raped by MNS workers
The 15-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by MNS workers, made shocking revelations about the MNS activists who dragged, raped and threatened her on the night of July 19.
Here are excerpts from the girl's statement:
"We were a family of six, including my parents and four sisters. We all came to Mumbai, ten years ago. My father passed away five years ago and my two sisters are married. My mother and we two sisters stay at Marol. Me and my sister go to our aunt's place to sleep, as our house is too small to accommodate all of us. I work as a maid at societies.
'Two men grabbed us'
"On Sunday night, around 10 pm, my sister and I were headed towards my aunt's house. On our way, an Indica car came from behind and stopped. Two men got out from the car and grabbed us. They forced us into the car and took us near the Lok Bharti garden near a building.
"They forced us inside the watchman's room; the watchman was not there in the room at that time. My sister managed to escape, but they caught hold of me. Later, the four men raped me. They also threatened to kill me, if I said anyone about the rape.
"After 20 to 25 minutes, I came outside, when I saw my sister standing out at a distance. We went to aunt's place and slept. Next morning, we went back to our place and went to work. On Friday, I told about the incident to my mother and later filed the complaint."
After the victim's family reported the incident to the MIDC police station, police arrested all the four accused on Friday.
The four arrested rapists are MNS workers. The accused have been identified as Ganesh Gatkal (29), Ganesh Kale (30), Narendra Salunkhe (26) and Umesh Borande (28). The four have been sent to police custody till July 28.
