Anurita Jha bonds with a Bihari
Model-turned-actor on spending time with fellow Bihari Manoj Bajpai and shooting across villages there for 'Gangs of Wasseypur' Part 2
Model-turned-actor Anurita Jha is glad that her Bollywood debut happened under the aegis of Anurag Kashyap. Not only did she get to work with industry veterans like Manoj Bajpai, she also got a first-hand experience of shooting at real-life locations.
Anurita, who adds that her role in the sequel of Anurag’s gangster film will be “bigger and better”, says, “I am in awe of Manoj Bajpai and Tigmanshu Dhulia. In my free time I would observe Nawaz (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) and Manoj and learnt many things about the process of getting into one’s character. It was a golden chance for me.”
Along with the cast and crew, Anurita also spent considerable time shooting in rural areas of Bihar. She says, “We shot major portions at villages near Bihar. After the shoot we used to have a bonfire in the night and would talk in local Bihari lingo, as both Manoj and I are from Bihar. The weather was too cold then. We would have tea in kulhads and discuss each other’s journey in Bollywood.”
